Best book response to egalitarianism/complimentarianism to date:

CONTEXT FOR NON-PROTS: Complimentarianism is the protestant position that church and home leadership is reserved for men; in other words, what the Church has practiced for 2000 years. Egalitarianism is the modernist position that men and women are equal in calling, including the holding of church leadership offices.

Unfortunately, egalitarianism is pervasive within even some of the most conservative protestant circles; my Bible college included. People who don’t hold that modernist view will inevitably be pressed on their unpopular, “outdated” views. To service in the defence, I HIGHLY recommend this book:

Women in the Church: An Interpretation and Application of 1 Timothy 2:9-15

Inside, you will find an extremely thorough study of the history, language, grammar, and meanings behind the pivotal passage of 1 Timothy 2:9 - 15. It’s a very informative and refreshing book, one even our Apostolic brothers should buy, given the growing egalitarianism within their own ranks.

Have any of you lads had a confrontation over your wamen-hating views? What was it like? Were you prepared?
